The Lookout Media Group is led by Stephen and Michele Smith. The couple ran a successful regional agency for more than 24 years before selling it to a strategic acquirer. After years of serving clients in multiple states, the Smiths are excited to bring the power of storytelling and professional communications to their own communities.

From our studio in historic downtown Fort Payne, Alabama, The Lookout Media Group records, edits, mixes, and masters a number of local and national podcasts.One in particular, The StoryConnect Podcast, has earned numerous national awards."Podcasts keep growing in popularity, and I enjoy the challenge of engineering a show that flows well and sounds great for those looking for information and entertainment," says audio engineer Lucas Smith.While the national podcasts are recorded offsite with files sent to Lucas, our studio is home base for three shows. The Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce executive director visits the studio with guests to record “Business Is Booming.” Topics include business tips, downtown development, and Chamber programs. “Parts Of Us” is hosted by a counselor who discusses with guests the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the human experience.
"Fred Hunter's Alabama" features a well-known television personality interviewing fascinating people from across the state.“Having a long history of serving the utility markets, it's an honor to work on the national shows," says The Lookout Media Group founder Stephen V. Smith. "But we particularly enjoy bringing these capabilities to the local market so that people in our area can share their expertise and showcase their businesses through podcasts.”
